BOHUNT SCHOOL BUS NETWORK
Richardson Travel Ltd, has run a network of Bus Routes into the school since 1989.
Arrangements differ for pupils living inside the catchment area and for those outside the catchment area, please study the sections below.
SECTION ONE:
For those parents living within the Bohunt Catchment area and meeting the criteria for “free travel” for the new pupil
Application for “free travel” has to be made to Hampshire County Council from whom the application forms are available. Richardson Travel Ltd cannot enter into any discussion as to entitlement to “free travel”. Children may use the services on payment of the normal cash fare until an application to HCC is processed and a Pass ordered.
Each child requires an individual and separate application even if siblings are already in receipt of “free travel”
Unless an application has been received and processed by the Council before the commencement of the new school year, your child will only be able to travel on the buses by paying the cash-fare until a Season Ticket is issued.
SECTION TWO:
FOR THOSE PARENTS FAILING TO QUALIFY FOR “FREE TRAVEL” ON THE GROUNDS THAT THEIR HOME ADDRESS IS OUTSIDE THE BOHUNT CATCHMENT AREA.
THE NETWORK CURRENTLY SERVES THE BEACON HILL, HINDHEAD, GRAYSHOTT, HEADLEY DOWN, HEADLEY & LINDFORD AREAS TO THE NORTH AND THE PETERSFIELD AND MIDHURST AREAS TO THE SOUTH AND EAST.
Application forms are supplied by direct application to Richardson Travel Ltd, which can be by post, phone or email. The scope and capacity of the route network is entirely dependant upon the number of “registrations” received by a deadline, usually in mid-July.
2011/12 Academic Year. All parents who have purchased season tickets for the current year have now been sent Registration Forms for the new academic year. Parents who have expressed an “interest” for the new academic year by letter of email have also been sent Forms as appropriate.
We are pleased to announce that with general inflation running at ~5%, we have kept our fare increase at ~ 2.6% for 2010/11. The discount for season ticket purchases will now be ~25% of the daily cash fare (where available).
